The Kurdistan Islamic Union has decided on the heads of its candidate lists for the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections, scheduled for November 11, 2025.
Osama Jamil, former Iraqi MP, will lead the list in Erbil
Dr. Musenna Amin, current MP, will lead the list in Sulaymaniyah
Dr. Jamal Kocher, current MP, will lead the list in Duhok
In the previous Iraqi parliamentary elections, the Kurdistan Islamic Union received 108,010 votes, securing four seats:
Two in Sulaymaniyah
Two in Duhok
In the sixth term of the Kurdistan Parliament elections, the party secured seven seats, receiving a total of 117,444 votes, broken down as follows:
Erbil: 24,178 votes – 1 seat
Sulaymaniyah: 42,847 votes – 2 seats
Duhok: 42,687 votes – 2 seats
Halabja: 7,847 votes – 1 seat
