Kurdish politician Sarbaz Barznji has been elected as the new Mayor of Lambeth, promising to do his best to serve the community, according to an official statement.
“I promise to do everything in my power to serve this community well. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for ourselves, our children, and future generations.”
Barznji, in a Twitter statement, expressed his "deep honor" and "privilege" to serve the "vibrant community" of Lambeth and contribute to a "brighter future" for everyone.
“I am deeply honored to have been elected as your Mayor. It is my privilege to serve this vibrant community and contribute to a brighter future for everyone.” he wrote in a tweet.
